Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 26 -- The Public Office complex, one of the major administrative hubs of the Kerala government, has undergone a significant clean-up with the removal of 15.1 tonnes of long-accumulated scrap.
The initiative, part of the nationwide 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign, has given the premises a cleaner and greener look. The drive was organised under the Clean Kerala Company's flagship 'Scrap Hunt' programme, which collects and recycles unused waste from government institutions.
The operation was particularly effective in tackling electronic waste, discarded furniture, plastics, and metal debris.
