Hyderabad, Feb. 26 -- With a vision to provide World-class facilities to the passengers, 53 Railway stations on South Central Railway (SCR) Jurisdiction across the state of Andhra Pradesh are being redeveloped with a cost of Rs. 2,611 crores under the "Amrit Bharat Station Scheme" (ABSS), to provide modern passenger amenities and convert them into growth centres to the regional population.

The mission got a major boost when Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for station redevelopment in AP between August, 2023 and February, 2024.
