Hyderabad, Nov. 26 -- South Central Railway (SCR) is set to introduce an application-based parcel logistics system that will allow customers to book, ship and receive parcels through railways with complete door-to-door service, an official release stated on Wednesaay.
Designed by the Hyderabad Division, the initiative aims to integrate first-mile pickup, railway transportation and last-mile delivery into one digital platform.
The service will be launched on a pilot basis in Hyderabad Division, where the Railway administration has invited logistics agencies and fleet service providers to partner in handling pickup and delivery services.
