Hyderabad, June 17 -- The South Central Railways(SCR) Railway Protection Force (RPF) appealed to the General Public not to indulge in anti-social activities like Stone pelting on trains and placing of materials on Railway tracks which endangers the safety of passengers and damages Railway property.
Such activities are a criminal offence and stringent action will be taken against the perpetrators under section 153 of Railways Act, which is punishable with imprisonment which may extend up to five years, SCR said in a release here on Tuesday.
Railway Protection Force (RPF), SCR has been taking various steps across the zone to prevent and curtail such anti-social incidents in the future.
