Hyderabad, Jan. 30 -- In a major step towards promoting digital transactions, the South Central Railway (SCR) has upgraded all Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) counters with advanced equipment, integrating a QR code payment system across 879 UTS counters in the zone.
This initiative aims to facilitate cashless transactions, reduce wait times, and enhance accuracy in monetary dealings, a SCR statement said on Thursday.
With the new system in place, passengers can now pay for tickets digitally, eliminating the need for carrying cash, handling loose change, and standing in long queues.
