Hyderabad, March 22 -- Vedire Sriram, Advisor to the Maharashtra Chief Minister and former advisor to the union Ministry of Water Resources, has underscored the need for a scientific and ecosystem-driven approach for the rejuvenation of the Musi River, cautioning against limiting the project to mere riverfront beautification.

Addressing a discussion organised by the BJP's Telangana unit on "Musi River Rejuvenation: The Facts," at a private hotel, Raj Bhavan Road, here on Sunday, he said that true river rejuvenation involves restoring the river as a living ecosystem, where indicators such as improved water quality and the return of aquatic life signify success.
