Jammu, May 15 -- Nearly ten days after escalated tension between India and Pakistan, schools and colleges have partially reopened on Thursday in five border districts of the Jammu region as normalcy is restoring and life is limping back in these belts.

However, educational institutions adjoining the border are still closed till further orders.

Officials said that amid the ongoing tension on the border, schools and colleges in border districts of the Jammu region were closed as a precautionary measure, but now, after the restoration of peace after around ten days, schools and colleges in Jammu city and the surrounding districts have reopened.
