Chennai, Aug. 25 -- Six students were injured injuries when the school van in which theywere proceeding to their school turned turtle at the Railway track while crossing a mannedlevel crossing today, which Southern Railway said rash and negligent driving led to theaccident.
The accident occurred at Poovanur village at Vriddhachalam in Cuddalore district of TamilNadu at around 0800 hrs.
The manned level crossing was opened for road traffic when the accident occurred.
Police sources said the driver of the school van lost control of the vehicle while crossingthe track and the van overturned on the tracks with the Red Signals on, on both sidesof the track.
