Solan, Dec. 11 -- As many as 15 school teachers and B.Ed. trainees fell ill after consuming cow's milk at the government Sr. Secondary School Kothi Deora in Solan district, on Wednesday.
All the teachers were rushed to the local Regional Hospital, where doctors, after necessary laboratory tests and intradermal injections, discharged them.
The cow had reportedly been bitten by a rabid dog. The incident took place after the trainees and teachers consumed the cow's milk a few days ago. Subsequently, on Tuesday and Wednesday, all the victims visited the regional hospital for treatment.
Before the hospital experienced a surge in cases, doctors were initially unsure how the affected individuals had fallen ill after consuming the milk.
