Shimla, Nov. 23 -- A school girl was trapped in a deep pit in the road when a portion of the road collapsed on Saturday in Bhattakufar, a suburb of Himachal Pradesh's capital, Shimla.
A pothole approximately 15 feet deep and seven to eight feet wide was formed when a government bus crossed over it.
A school girl boarding the bus got trapped but was rescued safely.
According to Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh, the girl was pulled out with a rope.
It is reported that the bus was on its way to Bhattakufar to pick up the students from Auckland House School.
Eighth-grade student Priyanshi got trapped in the crater.
Fortunately, she is completely safe.
