Chandigarh, Feb. 17 -- Panic gripped the area near the District Police Line in Nuh after a school bus carrying over 20 children collided with a dumper truck on Tuesday.
The bus, reportedly belonging to Sunrise Public School, was traveling from Sohna to Nuh when the accident occurred. The impact was so severe that the front portion of the bus was completely mangled.
According to eyewitnesses, the collision occurred when the dumper truck ahead of the bus applied its brakes, causing the following school vehicle to hit its rear. Following the crash, the dumper driver reportedly fled the scene with the vehicle.
Emergency responders and locals rushed to the site as the screams of terrified students caused a commotion in the vicinity.
