Kabul, March 2 -- Almost eight years since they played their first-ever Test match in India, Afghanistan will compete against India in a one-off Test during their tour of the country inJune.

The Test will be played in New Chandigarh, starting June 6. The fixture will mark only the second time the two teams face off each other in the longest format.

Afghanistan had last featured in a Test match against Zimbabwe last year in Harare, a game that closed with a loss by an innings and 73 runs for the visitors, according to ICC.

The Test will be followed by a three-match ODI series as the two teams look up to next year's ICC Men's Cricket World Cup.
