Shimla, Dec. 18 -- Himachal Pradesh continued to experience dry weather conditions on Thursday, with scarce chances of rain or snowfall across the state.

The sky remained partly to mainly cloudy at several places, but no significant precipitation was recorded during the past 24 hours, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Despite the winter season, minimum temperatures remained abnormally high at many locations.

Shimla recorded a minimum temperature around three degrees Celsius above normal, reflecting an unusual warmth for mid-December. Other mid and lower hill stations also reported night temperatures above normal by two to six degrees, indicating a prolonged dry and warm spell.
