New Delhi, June 17 -- The Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to urgently hear a petition filed by Tamil Nadu Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) H.M. Jayaram challenging a Madras High Court order that had directed his arrest in connection with an alleged abduction case.
The matter is scheduled to be listed before the apex court on Wednesday.
Jayaram's petition comes in the wake of a directive issued by Justice P. Velmurugan of the Madras High Court, while hearing an anticipatory bail plea filed by KV Kuppam MLA "Poovai" Jagan Moorthy, also named in the case.
