New Delhi, Jan. 8 -- A day after deferring the matter, the Supreme Court on Thursday is set to hear the petition filed by Gitanjali J. Angmo, wife of jailed climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, challenging his detention under the National Security Act.
A Bench comprising Justice Aravind Kumar and Justice P B Varale had on Wednesday deferred the matter by a day.The adjournment was sought after Justice P. Varale, who will be part of the bench hearing the case, requested additional time to examine the case records.
Justice Aravind Kumar noted that Justice Varale wished to go through the details before the hearing.
