New Delhi, Oct. 9 -- The Supreme Court is set to hear on October 13 a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking the constitution of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by a former judge to probe allegations of large-scale manipulation of the voters list in Bengaluru Central constituency during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The petition, filed by Advocate Rohit Pandey through Advocate Kausar Raza Faridi, calls for an independent inquiry into the claims made by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in his August 7 press conference, where he alleged massive discrepancies in voter lists, particularly in the Mahadevapura Assembly constituency.
