New Delhi, Oct. 8 -- The Supreme Court today agreed to hear on October 10 the pleas concerning restrictions on the sale and use of firecrackers in Delhi-NCR, days before Diwali.
The matter was mentioned before a bench led by Chief Justice of India BR Gavai, which was informed that the issue pertained to the ongoing ban on firecrackers and the confusion surrounding the sale of green crackers in the region.
Appearing for the Central government, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta requested that the matter be listed for another day.
