New Delhi, Dec. 29 -- The Supreme Court on Monday will hear the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) Special Leave Petition (SLP) against the Delhi High Court order that suspended the sentence and granted bail to former Uttar Pradesh MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in the Unnao rape case.
The SLP, titled Central Bureau of Investigation vs. Kuldeep Singh Sengar, was filed on December 26, 2025, challenging the Delhi High Court's decision dated December 23, 2025, by which Sengar's life sentence was suspended during the pendency of his appeal.
The matter will be heard today by a vacation bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, Justice J.K. Maheshwari, and Justice Augustine George Masih.
