New Delhi, April 21 -- The Supreme Court on Monday noted that the investigation against podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, in a case involving controversial comments on a YouTube show, is complete. The court said it would hear his plea seeking the return of his passport on April 28.
A bench comprising justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh took note of submissions by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, who appeared for the police of Assam and Maharashtra.
Mehta informed the court that while the investigation in the Guwahati FIR is ongoing-with the statement of one co-accused still to be recorded-the probe in the Mumbai FIR stands complete, though the chargesheet is yet to be filed.
