New Delhi, Aug. 6 -- The Supreme Court today stayed the criminal trial against YouTuber Elvish Yadav (also known as Siddharth) in a high-profile case alleging his involvement in organising rave parties where foreigners were invited and snake venom was allegedly used as a recreational drug. A Bench comprising Justice MM Sundresh and Justice NK Singh also issued notice to the Uttar Pradesh Government, seeking its response on Yadav's petition challenging the criminal proceedings initiated against him under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
