New Delhi, Nov. 25 -- The Supreme Court today sought responses from the union Government and the State of Manipur on a petition demanding an investigation into the alleged killing of 10 persons inside a CRPF camp in Manipur's Jiribam district last year.

A Bench, comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Baghchi, and Justice A.S. Chandurkar took note of the plea filed by the parents of the deceased and agreed to examine the matter.

The Court proceeded to issue notice for a limited purpose, to ascertain the status of the ongoing probe by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

During the hearing, the petitioners' counsel, Advocate Vishwajeet Singh, urged the Court to seek immediate clarity on the progress of the case....
