New Delhi, Dec. 15 -- The Supreme Court on Monday sought responses from the State of Uttar Pradesh and the Court-constituted High-Powered Committee on a plea challenging the change in darshan timings and the discontinuation of Dehri Pooja at the Bankey Bihari Ji Maharaj Temple in Mathura.

A Bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice Vipul Pancholi was hearing a writ petition filed by the Management Committee of Thakur Shree Bankey Bihari Ji Maharaj Temple. Notice was issued to the respondents, returnable on January 7, 2026.
