New Delhi, Oct. 28 -- In the ongoing contempt proceedings related to the illegal felling of trees in the Delhi Ridge forest area, the Chief Secretary of the Delhi Government has filed an affidavit before the Supreme Court detailing steps taken to ensure compensatory afforestation in line with the Court's previous directions.

The affidavit, filed through Advocate-on-Record Rahul Shyam Bhandari, stated that a high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary was held on September 29, 2025, with the Vice-Chairman of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), the Divisional Commissioner (Revenue), and senior Forest Department officials.
