New Delhi, Oct. 7 -- The Supreme Court today reserved its verdict on the curative petition filed by Surendra Koli, challenging his conviction and death sentence in one of the Nithari killings cases dating back to 2005-2006 in Noida.
Koli's conviction was upheld by the apex court in February 2011 for the rape and murder of a 15-year-old girl, one of several victims in the gruesome serial killings.
However, he has now sought a review of that conviction after the Allahabad High Court acquitted him in 12 other similar cases last year.
A Bench comprising Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai, Justice Surya Kant, and Justice Vikram Nath heard the matter briefly in open court before reserving its order.
