Bengaluru, Dec. 11 -- The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected former Janata Dal (Secular) MP Prajwal Revanna's plea seeking transfer of his trial in two pending rape cases from the 81st Additional City Civil and Sessions Court, Bengaluru, to another court.

The Court underscored that previous convictions or remarks by a trial judge in an earlier case cannot form a basis for claiming bias or seeking transfer.

Revanna had contended that the trial judge might be prejudiced, citing observations made during his earlier conviction.
