New Delhi, July 22 -- The Supreme Court today refused to transfer a writ petition challenging the Waqf Act, 1995, which is currently pending before the Delhi High Court, while expressing concern over the growing trend of filing petitions merely for publicity.
A bench comprising Chief Justice of India (CJI) B.R. Gavai, Justice K. Vinod Chandran, and Justice N.V. Anjaria was hearing a transfer plea seeking to move the writ petition challenging the Waqf Act from the High Court to the apex court.
