New Delhi, Jan. 27 -- The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed the plea by Jiostar Private Limited challenging a Kerala High Court order which had permitted the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to proceed with an investigation into allegations of abuse of dominance in the Kerala television broadcasting market.

A Bench comprising Justice J.B. Pardiwala and Justice Sandeep Mehta declined to interfere, noting that the matter was still at a preliminary stage of investigation. The proceedings arise from a complaint filed by Asianet Digital Network Limited (ADNPL), which has accused Jiostar of abusing its dominant position in the television broadcasting space in Kerala, in violation of the Competition Act, 2002.
