New Delhi, June 4 -- The Supreme Court on Wednesday strongly reprimanded a murder convict for again approaching the top court to seek a three-week extension to surrender before jail authorities, despite his earlier request being rejected.
A vacation bench comprising justices Ahsanuddin Amanullah and SVN Bhatti expressed displeasure with convict Vinod alias Ganja for filing a fresh petition after his plea for furlough extension had already been dismissed on May 14 by a bench led by Justice Abhay S. Oka.
"How dare you file this... The coordinate bench headed by Justice Oka rejected it, and you have the guts to file it during vacation," the Court remarked sharply.
