New Delhi, July 10 -- The Supreme Court on Friday disposed of a petition by former Noida Chief Engineer Yadav Singh in an alleged corruption case as he had already been granted bail by the Allahabad High court.

"We dispose of the petition. The accused, petitioner Yadav Singh's application is infructuous, as the Allahabad High court has recently granted him bail," a bench headed by Justice Rohinton Fali Nariman said.

Justice Nariman led bench, had on July 8, directed the Allahabad High Court to dispose of Singh's bail plea within 24 hours.
