New Delhi, Sept. 1 -- The Supreme Court today issued notice on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking directions to the union government and states to introduce transgender-inclusive Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in school curricula across India.
A bench comprising Chief Justice of India BR Gavai and Justice K Vinod Chandran was hearing the plea, which argued that inclusive CSE is essential to foster awareness, equality, and protection of rights for transgender students nationwide.
