New Delhi, Oct. 15 -- The Supreme Court today heard Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's plea seeking to quash the 2015 "cash-for-vote" case, in which he is accused of offering a bribe to an MLA to secure votes during the legislative council elections.

A bench of Justice JK Maheshwari and Justice Vijay Bishnoi heard detailed submissions from senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, appearing for Revanth Reddy.

Rohatgi argued that the trap laid by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) was "completely illegal" since it was conducted before the registration of any First Information Report (FIR).
