New Delhi, July 21 -- The Supreme Court today granted interim relief to Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade, restraining police in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Haryana from taking any coercive action against him in connection with multiple criminal cases related to an alleged cooperative society scam.
A Bench comprising Justices BV Nagarathna and Augustine George Masih issued notices to the three States, seeking their responses on why Talpade was named as an accused in the FIRs.
The states have been directed to file their counter affidavits.
