New Delhi, June 18 -- The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted anticipatory bail to journalist and YouTuber Nandakumar T.P., popularly known as 'Crime Nandakumar', in connection with a case registered over alleged objectionable remarks made against former SFI leader and CPI(M) member Sindhu Joy.
A vacation bench comprising Justices Sandeep Mehta and Prasanna B. Varale granted interim relief to Nandakumar, directing that in the event of his arrest, he shall be enlarged on bail by the jurisdictional trial court upon furnishing bail bonds to the satisfaction of the investigating officer. The court further directed the petitioner to cooperate with the investigation.
