New Delhi, March 9 -- The Supreme Court on Monday disposed of a suo motu contempt proceeding against a YouTuber for his alleged scandalous remarks against a former apex court judge.
Chandigarh-based YouTuber and Editor-in-Chief of Varprad Media, Ajay Shukla, tendered an unconditional apology through his counsel, Advocate Eesha Bakshi.
Shukla, on the YouTube channel 'The Principle', had uploaded a video containing scandalous allegations against Justice Bela M Trivedi, a former judge of the Supreme Court.
On May 30, 2025, a bench comprising former Chief Justice of India BR Gavai, Justices AG Masih and AS Chandurkar had initiated suo motu contempt proceedings.
