New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- The Supreme Court on Wednesday took note of the Unified Pension Scheme recently notified by the central government, stating that it aims to address pension-related concerns of all employees, including judicial officers.
Attorney General R Venkataramani apprised the Court of the scheme while arguing in the All India Judges Association case, which pertains to the pension benefits of retired judicial officers.
Taking this into consideration, a bench, comprising Justices B R Gavai and A G Masih, deferred the matter for 12 weeks to assess how the scheme functions.
