New Delhi, Sept. 1 -- The Supreme Court today dismissed a petition raising concerns of caste-based discrimination and social boycott of Dalits in a village in Andhra Pradesh.
A Bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sandeep Mehta heard the matter and advised the petitioner, Dasari Chenna Kesavulu, who appeared in person, to approach the High Court or seek other remedies available under law.
Kesavulu alleged that Dalits in a village under Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan's Pithapuram constituency were subjected to social boycott following the accidental death of an electrical worker in April.
