Chandigarh, Nov. 4 -- Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has found himself embroiled in controversy following his remarks about former union Home Minister and senior Congress leader, the late Buta Singh, during a campaign speech in the Tarn Taran by-election.

The Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission has taken suo motu notice of the comments, which were allegedly caste and colour-based, and has summoned Warring to respond by November 6. Additionally, the Returning Officer of Tarn Taran has been directed to submit a report by November 4, according to Commission Chairperson Jasvir Singh Garhi.
