New Delhi, Dec. 29 -- The Supreme Court on Monday stayed the bail granted by the Delhi High Court to rape and murder convict Kuldeep Singh Sengar in 2017 Unnao rape case. "We stay operation of impugned order in peculiar facts. Respondent shall not be released from custody pursuant to the impugned order," the vacation bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, and Justices J K Maheshwari and Augustine George said, passing the order on the first hearing itself after CBI filed appeal against Sengar's bail.
