New Delhi, July 29 -- In a significant development in the Bhushan Power and Steel Limited (BPSL) insolvency case, the Supreme Court allowed JSW Steel's request for an open court hearing of its review petition challenging the apex court's May 2, 2025 verdict, which had rejected its Rs 19,000 crore resolution plan and directed liquidation of BPSL.

A Bench comprising Chief Justice of India (CJI) B.R. Gavai and Justice Satish Chandra Sharma on Monday issued notice on the review petitions and scheduled the matter for hearing on July 31 at 3:00 PM in open court.

"Applications for listing review petitions in open court and applications for oral hearing are allowed. Issue notice," the court ordered.
