New Delhi, Aug. 18 -- The Supreme Court today took up the plea in the criminal defamation case filed against former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and AAP leader Atishi Marlena over their remarks alleging large-scale deletion of voters' names from Delhi's electoral rolls.

A Bench comprising Justice M.M. Sundresh and Justice N.K. Singh recorded submissions from both sides and directed that the case be listed for final hearing on a non-miscellaneous day.

At the outset, Advocate Vivek Jain sought a passover, informing the Bench that Senior Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi would appear on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party leaders.
