New Delhi, Sept. 24 -- The Supreme Court today adjourned the hearing on the mercy petition of death row convict Balwant Singh Rajoana till October 15, who was sentenced for the 1995 assassination of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh. The court made it clear that no further adjournments would be granted.
A bench of Justices Vikram Nath, Justice Sandeep Mehta, and NV Anjaria was hearing the matter concerning the delay in deciding Rajoana's mercy plea.
