Imphal, Sept. 24 -- In an ongoing effort to safeguard Manipur's rivers, the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, in partnership with local communities and civic organisations, has intensified its awareness campaigns across the state.
As part of this initiative, a campaign to protect the Imphal River was held today at Lairikyengbam Makha Leikai near Lamlong Bridge in Imphal East district.
The programme was jointly organised with the Rising Athletic union (RAU) and the Women's Development Organisation of Lairikyengbam Makha Leikai.
