New Delhi, Jan. 26 -- AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj on Monday said that the continued detention of Ladakh-based educationist Sonam Wangchuk under the National Security Act (NSA) casts a shadow over Republic Day celebrations and raises concerns about constitutional values.
Speaking on the occasion of Republic Day, Bharadwaj expressed that his "heart feels heavy thinking about Sonam Wangchuk and the state of our Republic." He stated that Wangchuk has been held in Jodhpur Jail under the NSA since September 26, 2025, for over 120 days, following his involvement in protests and hunger strikes demanding statehood and Sixth Schedule protections for Ladakh.
