Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 19 -- A Saudia Airlines flight from Jakarta to Madinah made an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport today evening after a woman passenger onboard fell unconscious mid-air, prompting an immediate medical response.
The flight, Saudia 821 carrying 395 passengers and 18 crew members, was diverted after a 37-year-old Indonesian national, Lia Fatonah, reportedly complained of uneasiness and later lost consciousness.
Following an emergency alert from the pilot, airport authorities and medical teams were placed on standby.
The aircraft landed safely around 6.30 pm, and the passenger was swiftly attended to by the medical team before being shifted to Ananthapuri Hospital for further treatment.
