Mysuru, Oct. 15 -- Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi today clarified that he is no longer in the race for the Chief Minister's post, putting an end to speculation about his ambitions within the Congress party.
Speaking to reporters here, Jarkiholi said he had opted out of the Chief Ministerial race nearly a year ago. "I had made it clear earlier itself that I am not in the race for the Chief Minister's post," he said.
On speculation over a possible "November revolution" within the party, Jarkiholi dismissed the reports as media-driven. "There is no discussion about such an issue in the party. It is only the media and some individuals who are making statements," he stated.
