Hyderabad, Feb. 15 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday said that Lambada tribal saint Sri Sevalal Maharaj inspired generations to walk on the path of peace and humanity and continues to guide society even today.

Participating in the birth anniversary celebrations of Sri Sevalal Maharaj at Sevalal Bhavan in Banjara Hills, the Chief Minister said Sevalal Maharaj stood as a beacon for nearly 15 crore Lambadas across the country.

He asserted that it was the responsibility of the government to celebrate Sevalal Jayanti officially.

Recalling the contribution of Lambadas to the Telangana movement, Revanth Reddy paid tributes to martyrs Suresh Nayak and Kavita Nayak, who laid down their lives for the cause.
