Puri, March 25 -- -Swami Narendrananda Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of Kanchikamkoti peeth, on Tuesday went to Sri Jagannath temple and offered prayers.
He was accompanied by six of his disciples.
The Sri Jagannath temple administration has facilitated the visit of the seer.
In 1976, the then Shankaracharya of Kanchikamakoti Peeth established a branch near the Swargadwar area of Puri.
A Vedic school is functioning here, imparting teachings on the Atharva Veda.
