Mumbai, Sept. 22 -- Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) MP Sanjay Raut today criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his recent announcement on Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Calling it a "gimmick to fool people," Raut said that instead of such declarations, Modi should fulfil his earlier promise of giving citizens their share of Rs. 15 lakh each.

The Prime Minister yesterday addressed the nation announcing changes in GST rates, saying that many daily use items would become cheaper and that this would ease the cost of living for ordinary citizens. Raut, however, mocked these claims.
