Mumbai, Jan. 6 -- Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Tuesday launched a fierce attack on the BJP following a reported statement by its party unit chief Ravindra Chavan that the memories of former Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh should be erased.
Responding to the remark, he alleged that the BJP's agenda is not limited to Vilasrao Deshmukh alone. "They want to erase the memories of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, Balasaheb Thackeray, and even wipe out the work of Sharad Pawar," Raut said.
He accused the BJP of merely "drawing lines on flour made by others," implying that the party thrives on the legacy and work of others rather than its own achievements.
