Mumbai, Dec. 26 -- Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) MP Sanjay Raut launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led Maharashtra government on Friday, alleging misuse of the system, rising hooliganism and a breakdown of law and order in the state.
Raut questioned why no one is raising objections when the son of a cabinet minister is allegedly absconding.
Referring to the Mahad Municipal Council elections, Raut said violence broke out during polling, in which Vikas Gogawale, son of Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) minister Bharat Gogawale, along with party office-bearers, allegedly attacked Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) workers. The Bombay High Court has rejected Vikas Gogawale's anticipatory bail plea, indicating the seriousness of the case.
